Society of St. Andrews

The Society of St. Andrew is a grassroots, faith-based, hunger relief nonprofit working with all denominations to bridge the hunger gap between 96 billion pounds of food wasted every year in this country and the nearly 40 million Americans who live in poverty.

 MCEF

Mechanicsville Church's Emergency Fund;  For over 30 years, MCEF has been an outreach ministry of the Mechanicsville area churches. Member churches combine ideas and resources to provide assistance for struggling families in Mechanicsville. Each household may be provided with financial assistance once per year and all payments are made directly to the company that is owed. Families may also be directed to the MCEF closets or food pantry. Most of the families that we help are referred to us through Hanover Department of Social Services or local churches. As we work in cooperation with each other, we are able to see God’s blessings upon our community magnified.
